Moon Witch Necklace

This piece was of course inspired by the moon. I wanted to capture the beauty and mystery that the moon seems to hold for all of us. And not just Earth’s moon, but any moon. That is why I chose to have tiny pieces of grey and black rock seeming to float all around. The center of the necklace represents the phases of the moon, hence the black leather half, and the fact that when the moon is in full view, most of us are dreaming, whether we are asleep or not. This is why half of the moon is a dreamcatcher. In essence, the moon captures our dreams. The whole idea of outer space has always fascinated me, as I am sure it has many. This piece is the first in a whole outer space themed line I hope to do. The wonderful lady modeling the necklace for me is my amazing aunt, who has been a huge support and influence in my life. She actually helped me design this piece and loved it so much, she wanted one for herself. So I made her one and she was gladly modeled it for me!
